do you really know me … pt1

•September 7, 2008 • Leave a Comment

i have a facebook. and a myspace. and obviously a blog.

i am beginning to wonder why.

i like meeting people. but you don’t really meet them with a friend request.

make sense?

i read some blogs. and i love them. some of the people who write these blogs are pretty cool people. i may never meet them in person and say something like “i thought you’d be taller”.  i am thankful to have read the words they wrote and what they have shared. i think all of us would be really good friends.

it makes me sad to know i may never share a meal with them though or just hang out.

its like we’re all great friends but only at a distance.

i wonder how many neighborhoods are full of people on their computers, talking to people miles and miles away when they could just walk next door and meet someone.

thousands of people next to each other talking to different people so far away.

have “online communites” replaced real ones?

the first one

i changed my blog.

i read everything i wrote and i didn’t like any of it.

i was trying too hard.

because i want to be a superstar in this blogging thing.

i want people to quote me or share my words with others and think that i am a pretty amazing person.

but at the end of the day, if you’re trying to be something for others then you are only fooling yourself.

so just read this.

i will always be honest.

i think you will like me. or maybe not.

i will probably say some things that you won’t like.

i might say somethings that will make you laugh.

but im not writing for you.

to be honest.
